A NEW weekly service for the very young and their carers has been set up by Tavistock Parish Church. 'Tiddlers at St Eustachius' will take place on Tuesday afternoons during term-time, from 1.30pm to 2.30pm, in St Eustachius' Church. Tiddlers leader Dr Rachel Harrison-French said: 'It will be an hour of fun and friendship, activities, worship, and refreshments. We've called it "Tiddlers at St Eustachius" because Tiddlers also runs at St Andrew's, Whitchurch. But St Eustachius' Church is a great place to hold it as well, because it's bang in the centre of town, where so many young families can drop in.' The priest-in-charge of St Eustachius', the Rev Michael Brierley, said: 'I'm very excited that we're holding this in the parish church in Tavistock, and that it's being led by such a capable team. 'This is an ideal opportunity, near to the end of the school day, for pre-schoolers to enjoy both fun and learning about the Christian faith, and it should especially appeal to those for whom Sunday morning is not the ideal time for church.' The first Tiddlers at St Eustachius is on Tuesday June 3, and all are welcome to turn up.
