GET set for a great gig at the Wharf, Tavistock on Saturday, September 14.

Bill Thomas, a preacher's son originally from Texas and now resident in Paris is a born bluesman. He has his musical roots in the great tradition of the South.

Both men of native American blood, Bill Thomas and Jimi Hendrix have one or two things in common.

They both favour a 'power trio'. Bill — like Jimi — composes, plays lead and sings his own unique brand of the blues.

He is proud to claim such influences as Buddy Guy, Lightnin' Hopkins, Freddie King, Bukka White and Otis Rush. With an added dash of JMH, Bill Thomas is a difficult act to label. But without a doubt Bill is a luminary in a new wave of blues greats.

The Bill Thomas Band has been featured live on the Paul Jones Show, Jazz fm and BBC Radio 2 as well as appearing at blues venues and festivals throughout 2001 and 2002 with audiences loving every minute.
