AN annual event to celebrate volunteering is being staged next Friday (November 2) in Tavistock Meadows. To mark ?Make a Difference Day? existing volunteers and anyone interested in volunteering their time can take part in a ?beautifying Tavistock? session. This will see people cleaning litter from the area from 11am until around 3pm, with help from members of Tavistock Taskforce. CVS Make a Difference Day is the UK?s biggest day of ?hands-on? volunteering to help make a difference to the local community. This is one of the only campaigns which asks people to give time, not money.
