THERE are three types of moaners who monopolise the letters in local newspapers. A survey of many shows that their mindset takes newsspace all over the land. NIMBYs are a well known species of them, as are NoDams (No Development After Mine) and Bananas (Build Absolutely Nothing Anywhere Near Anyone).
However, despite recent WHAN (We Hate Anything New) letters, Tavistock now looks very welcoming this summer with a bright shopfront at Woollies and attractive marquees on the wonderful parked-car free square.
And as for the development plans we now have the chance to generously welcome many nice new people to share the town. Note all the extra trade they will bring to our shops and market! Join the GALS and LADS (Got a Life in Society and Let's All Delight in Sharing)!
