IF you ever wanted to write your own play, love the performing arts and want to learn more, then a new community theatre project for the young people of Dartmoor could be just your thing.
MED Theatre is looking for young people between the ages of 14 and 25 to participate in its new project Myth.
Myth will explore ways of putting together material about Dartmoor people, taking as its inspiration stories both from the past and the present, producing a final piece of theatre that is able to express what it?s really like to live on Dartmoor today ? or maybe in another time ? and which is totally relevant to the performers and the audience.
If this sounds like the project for you then get in touch, or come along to an introductory workshop on Sunday June 22 at 2pm in Moretonhampstead Parish Hall.
The end result will be performed to local audiences of all ages in 2004. Initial workshops are planned for this summer and you don?t need to have any previous experience, just a few ideas and a load of enthusiasm.
