ON a very breezy day down at Newquay, Tavistock/Newquay got off to a flying start with captain Alice Stean scoring the first try in the first couple of minutes. 

As it was a sevens' match Tavistock/Newquay had to kick the ball back to Liskeard but the ball was soon turned over and passed out wide for a try by Rachael Watson. This did not dishearten Liskeard who hit back with some big tackles and great runs. However, this did not prevent Tavistock/Newquay adding to their score. Tries were added two more times from Alice and Rachael and twice from Ali Huntley.

With the great skill and teamwork from the whole of the Tavistock/Newquay team they all contributed to the winning score of 44-0.

It was a good game to watch with both teams playing great rugby however, the teamwork of the home side outplayed Liskeard on this occasion.
