THE tourists put up a spirited display but could not handle Tavistock's pace and movement.
The first try for Tavistock came from captain Robin Jones who burst through a tackle to go over. This was followed by a try from Josh Leeson who intercepted a loose ball to touchdown and then converted.
The visitors were finding it difficult to get out of their own half and following a break by Dan Oner the ball was worked to Dan Cunningham to touch down in the corner. The visitors registered their first points with a penalty kick.
A Tavistock take at a lineout by Joe Gosling enabled Rufus Gould to get the ball to George Rogers who made a superb weaving run from his own half to go in under the posts. Leeson converted.
Following a period of possession, the tourist forwards drove over for a try. The second half started with the visitor forwards putting pressure on the Tavistock line before the ball was cleared to safety. The next try came from Monty Burdfield who burst through from his own 22 and weaved his way through several tacklers to go in at the corner for a superb individual score.
