BELSTONE Colts Cricket Club representative Mick Cowley welcomed Colts and parents to the recent annual meeting.

During the evening awards were presented to David Binns, Junior Colt; Phillip Woods, single wicket winner; Robert Hall, batting, with an average of 30.5; George Hall, bowling, with an average 6.4; Luke Wonnacott, all-rounder and George Hall, best bowling at 4 overs, 11 runs, 4 wickets.

The new committee for 2003 now includes captain P Woods, vice-captain J Carter, and R Hall.

The members of Belstone Cricket Club expressed thanks to all parents who gave assistance and offered food and drink at home matches. And special thanks went to Mrs Hall, Mrs Mortimore and Mrs Woods for assisting with the many jobs that have to be undertaken on Colts matches and to Barry Woods for his attention to the ground.

On a parting farewell to Mick Cowley, the Colts presented him with a book token. This forthcoming season the ground will be in the capable hands of Simon Tremain, with James Munkenbeck assisting him, both having taken the level 1 coaching course.

As preparations for the new season get under way the club organisers will welcome help from any parents who can offer time on a Monday, 6pm to 8pm, from May to August.
