DESPITE a strong line-up, Tavistock struggled in the wet conditions playing over-ambitious rugby at times. The visitors crossed for the only try of the first half. Two further tries in the second half sealed the victory.

Despite the score, Tavistock can take a few positives with them for this week?s home game against Cullompton.

Props Vince and Dicks looked strong in the front row while Child stood out in the close quarter work at blind side flanker. Open side Boreham was always in the thick of things and gained many hard yards.

A more cautious and controlled game might have seen a different scoreline but an improved attendance at weekday evening training should put this right.
