LIFTON Cottage Garden Society and WI held their 22nd annual show at Lifton Church Hall.
A total of 300 entries from 50 exhibitors made a colourful display.
Particularly pleasing was the amount of entries in the open vegetable and children?s sections ? more than double those in recent years.
The judges commented on how much they had enjoyed judging their classes.
A good crowd gathered in the evening for the presentation of the cups. Mrs Jean Greenhalgh, chairman, introduced the president, Mrs May Williams, who was presented with a corsage by Hayley Freeston. May Williams spoke of how much she enjoyed coming back to Lifton to meet old friends. She presented the cups as follows:
