A TEACHER from Tavistock College who this year won the South West Guardian Teaching Award for teacher of the year in a secondary school has now been nominated for a national award. Eva Pemberton is one of eleven winners from the South West who will find out if they have been awarded the ultimate accolade ? a National Teaching Award also known as a ?gold Plato?. On Sunday, October 15 the UK Teaching Awards Ceremony will be held in London and screened on BBC 2 at 6pm, hosted by the BBC?s Jeremy Vine. Teaching Award winners representing the South West will be joined by a host of celebrities who will gather to pay tribute to the teaching profession.
