THE 2007/8 netball season has been an extremely busy one for the Tavistock College girls' teams, who have courted much success. All years have played more than ten games and entered the end of season Plymouth netball tournament held at Hele's School in Plympton. College coaches say that the turnout by years seven, eight and 11s has been outstanding, enough for two teams, and hopefully this will continue next year. The year seven netball team has been improving week by week and this was demonstrated when they won their penultimate game against Plymouth College. They continued their winning form with their winning streak at the Plymouth tournament, where they won two out of four games. Years eight and 11's commitment to their netball has been outstanding said the coaches, with many of them training at lunch times as well as after school. Their efforts have been rewarded by a successful season. Years nine and ten have had a few teething problems. However the year tens finished on a high having had some good results at the end of the Plymouth tournament, while year nine have been consistent with their efforts and they have had some very close games.
