TAVISTOCK College's Year 10 football team brought home the Plymouth Schoolboys Cup for the first time in 10 years following a tense penalty shootout.
Captained by Will Lane, Tavistock took the lead just after half time when Aaron Northmore headed in a corner.
Halfway through the second half John Kitto equalised and took the game into extra-time. With no more goals scored, the final went to penalties.
All four Tavistock penalties were calmly scored, with each being put right in the corner of the net. Aaron Northmore was put into goal and saved two of John Kitto's attempts, crowning Tavistock College as champions.
Teacher Shaun Hulbert said: 'I was so proud. It's been a culmination of the last four years' hard work and they've deserved all the accolades and awards.'
The Year 10 squad: Nathan Holland, Elliot Blatchford, Daryl Panter, Aaron Northmore, Will Lane (captain), Will Hall, Ryan Moorhead, Sam Northmore, Corey Hancock, Sam Hicks, Matt Davidson, Luke Mclung, Dan Quick, Tom Standen, Kieran Alford and Martin Hoar.
