THIS year Shebbear College has raised an amazing total of £4,787 for various charities. The 1st to 3rd forms took part in a Readathon and raised £216. With the help of all the students and parents the college?s Macmillan coffee morning raised the fantastic amount of £538. Through lots of different and exciting fundraising ideas a staggering £1800 for ?Children In Need? and a further £111 for ?Save the Children? was raised from selling music and photo quizzes. A collection at the Christmas concert raised £90 for the North Devon Hospice, the Spellathon forms raised funds for ?Mencap? of £446. The Moor Walk for Breast Cancer awareness raised £1184 and the Charity Golf Challenge with students past and present, teachers and parents playing golf at Okehampton Golf Course for Macmillan raised £600. This year the college has sent 10 Aquaboxes that we have filled and sent over to areas like Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
