A MEMBER of the cleaning staff at Shebbear College has hung up her dustcloth and polish after more than 20 years.
Marion Ogbourne received an engraved bowl to mark her retirement at a party attended by headmaster Bob Barnes.
Marion joined the college staff in 1980 and has seen many pupils come and go, some even returning to teach in the school.
She is planning to keep busy in retirement. Her schedule includes gardening, tapestry and cooking. and she has recently joined the WI.
Marion lives in Shebbear village and is hoping to keep in regular contact with the school. Her sister, Phyllis, will keep her up to date with what is happening there ? Phyllis has been a member of the cleaning staff, but only for 21 years!
