Collections of recycling, refuse and food waste were suspended on Monday due to snow and ice on roads throughout the West Devon Borough Council area.

Residents are asked to keep their waste at the normal collection point as the situation is being reviewed. Black sack waste, currently collected fortnightly, will be collected weekly throughout the bad weather. Green waste and bulky card collections are suspended. Collections will return to normal from Monday January 10, 2011 – weather permitting. The council apologises for the inconvenience caused.
