KINDHEARTED students at Tavistock College are already thinking about Christmas presents ? but not for themselves!

Year 10 students William Sweeney and Ross Norton are organising a charity project to give festive gifts to underprivileged children across Europe.

The ?Love-in-a-Box? project is part of a nationwide campaign to send shoeboxes packed with gifts to children right across the continent.

Ross and William believe supporting the campaign is a fitting way to end their school career ? proving that education is not just about personal growth but about accepting responsibilities in the wider community.

Since January they have received a steady flow of gifts ranging from cuddly toys and board games to footballs, beads and bangles. The boys are asking for support from anyone with donations of toys and games, potential car boot sales and shoe boxes!

They can be contacted at Tavistock College via their tutor Mrs Richardson on 01822 614231.
