SWIMATHON siblings from Tavistock splashed for cash when they took part in Swimathon 2004 at Kelly College recently.

The Coiley brothers — Jed aged seven, ten year old Jack and George who is eleven — swam 11.5 km to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Relief.

Their dad Graham added an extra 10 km to complete the family's 21.5 km swim.

In total the family swam 860 lengths and spent 10 hours in the water!

Graham said: 'I think it was an enjoyable experience - after the first 300 lengths I wasn't too sure!'

'The boys did a fantastic job and I'm really proud of them. I have been doing the Swimathon for a number of years now and George has joined me on the last three - this year was Jack's second fundraiser and Jed's first.

'They have worked hard to achieve this — we've all been training since Christmas and it's obviously paid off as we've raised about £150 for the charity'.

Kelly College hosted Swimathon events throughout last weekend and were pleased at the high turnout.
