TWO members of Bere Alston Trekker?s (Bat?s) took part in the Plymouth Hoe ten-mile road race at the weekend. Although the weather remained dry there was a cold wind following the athletes around the hilly course. Starting at Brickfields, the two-lap course wound its way through Union Street, up the steep hill on to the Hoe and down through the Barbican. From here there were a few more hills back to Brickfields finishing with a lap of the track. Although both Bat?s were not feeling 100% following heavy colds, they both finished in good times, Dotty Allan achieving a course personal best.
