WEIR Quay Sailing Club is encouraging people to get their dancing shoes on and join the club's barn dance.

The club is hoping to mark the end of winter with the barn dance on March 8 at the parish hall in Bere Alston from 7.30pm to 10.30pm.

Fifty people have already confirmed their attendance, but more are welcome. The event will cost £5 per person, or £2 for under 18s, which includes a pasty. Club members are encouraged to bring along family and friends and potential new members.
