THE Wharf is delighted to welcome leading classical guitarist, Chris English, for his first appearance at the Wharf Arts Centre. Chris will perform a wide range of classical works, including well-known compositions by Albeniz and Brouwer and some more unusual pieces by composers such as Mertz and Domeniconi.
Chris is a highly-regarded performer who trained at the London College of Music with Douglas Rogers and Carlos Bonell, before winning a Radford Trust scholarship to complete his studies in Spain under the leading guitarist Jose Tomas.
His successful recital career has spanned the last ten years and included performances throughout the UK, as well as appearances in Spain. Chris has also recorded for BBC Radio 3 and has appeared on BBC television.
