THIS was a hard fought game in which the Okes ran out deserved winners.
Playing uphill and against the elements Okehampton struggled to put passages of play together. Bad handling and wrong options kept them under the cosh, but strong tackling and a fighting spirit made South Molton work hard for every ball.
With ten minutes left of the first half Molton won a penalty which was well converted by their scrum-half.
In the second half the Okes started well, putting Molton under pressure, forcing them to give away a penalty, well converted by Evan Reece.
Continuing force from Okehampton resulted in two quick tries for Dave Wills. This was followed by a try by centre Adam Curtis, crashing over between the posts.
In the last quarter Okehampton gave a run-out to Perry Vallance who sprinted in from the halfway line in the last move of the game. Reece converted three tries in difficult conditions.
