Carlsberg South Western League
Callington Town 2
Launceston 3
A SECOND half fightback almost secured Callington a share of the points in this well contested local derby on Saturday. But Launceston?s three-goal first half burst, including the first within eight seconds of the start, proved enough to give the Clarets the three points.
The thorn in the side of the home side was Dan Tilley who followed up his first strike with a second inside the first ten minutes. Callington came back at their visitors but could not find a way through and were penalised further in first half stoppage time when Shaun Turner headed past Andy Brenton from inside the area.
Callington?s determination not to be buried led to a second half rearguard action and they got a lifeline on 70 minutes when Gavin West fired a penalty past Paul Hider.
With ten minutes left, Mike Ruark further reduced the arrears with a goal after good work from Chris Gerry but despite a frenetic final few minutes they could not find a third.

Dobwalls 3
Callington Town 0
CALLINGTON?S four match unbeaten run came to an end against fellow promoted side Dobwalls but the Town gave a good account of themselves against a strong home side.
Paul Webber gave the home side the lead in the first half but they had to wait until the final third of the game before Martin Polatch and then a Webber second secured the points for Dobwalls.
