Wessex LRFC 29 North Tawton LRFC 32 NORTH Tawton knew this was going to be a tough game with many first team players absent. It was the North Tawton forwards who crashed through the Wessex defence with captain Clare Hooper going over twice. Wessex came back with some good fast rugby from their backs, but Tawton kept it tight. Lyndsey Prout for the visitors went over twice after good rucking and winning good lineout. Alex Turner went over to score for North Tawton after the break. However, Tawton went to sleep and let in some easy tries, although Amy Courter made some try saving tackles at full-back. Wiz Francis was all over the place, giving good ball to Lucy Cleave to get on the scoresheet. l North Tawton ladies are home on Sunday in a league game against Paignton Ladies, kick off 2.30pm.
