THE mayor of Tavistock, Cllr Anne Johnson, called into the Tavistock Area Support Services' art group to see their new fundraising calendar for 2013 last week.

The calendar has views of Tavistock and Dartmoor and is all the work of the art group who meet at the Anchorage Centre.

Member Mary Stewart said: 'The art group for the past two years has produced a fundraising calendar for TASS — we have enjoyed painting places we all know and love and it is a way we can raise much needed funds for this wonderful local charity'.

The group meets every Tuesday afternoon at the centre and enjoys painting and sharing each other's ideas.

If you have not already bought your calendar and would like one offering local scenes and supports a local charity, call into The Anchorage Centre with to buy one. Calendars cost £6 and profits will help TASS help others over the coming year.
