A FOREST of Christmas trees of different shapes and sizes will be on display in North Tawton this weekend. Lakeways United Church at North Tawton are holding a Christmas tree festival to raise funds. On Saturday, December 18, the church will be open from 10am to 4pm with coffee, teas and mince-pies being served. That evening, there will be a concert by the Beaford Singers and a retiring collection for BBC Radio Devon?s Chestnut Appeal and the church?s restoration fund. On Sunday, December 19, there will be a service at 11am led by Barry Searle, with the tree festival open again from 2pm to 4pm. On Wednesday, December 22, the celebrations will be brought to a close with a candlelit service at 7pm, with musical items by the Men?s Forum of Okehampton and the Wagstaff family. There will again be a collection for the Chestnut Appeal. Everyone welcome.
