PASSENGERS can enjoy Christmas time on the Tamar Valley Line by taking a specially decorated train ride. After enjoying a free mince-pie, they can visit Santa in his grotto at the Tamar Belle, Bere Ferrers on Sunday, December 18. While children are visiting Santa, adults can sample a ride behind a vintage diesel and enjoy a glass of sherry. Prices for the grotto include a gift for each child, refreshments and the diesel ride. Pre booking is essential ? call 01822 840044 for either Sunday. Trains leave Gunnislake at 12.07 arriving at Bere Ferrers at 12.32; returning at 13.35 and arriving back in Gunnislake at 14.04. Bere Ferrers is a request stop so passengers will need to signal clearly to the driver when they want to get on and to tell the conductor when they want to get off.
