TAVISTOCK Area Christians Together are hoping for sunshine next weekend as they usher in the warmer weather with an alfresco service.

Tavistock Meadows will play host to the 3pm liturgy on Sunday June 13 to which everyone is cordially invited — although the event will decamp to the United Reformed Church in Russell Street if the weather is very bad.

The service will be followed by Songs of Praise in St Eustachius Parish at 6pm which will be accompanied by the Plymouth Congress Hall Band of the Salvation Army led by bandmaster David Ponsford.
