THE expanding repertoire of pieces performed by the choir of St Andrew?s Church at Sampford Courtenay means the group is always interested in looking for new voices.

The choir sings at family services on the first Sunday of the month, at evensong on the third Sunday in the month, at special services and at weddings and funerals.

The choir is also augmented by singers from Okehampton Choral Society and Okehampton Parish Church choir on special occasions.

Anyone who would like to come along and sing with the choir, whether they are young or old, soprano or bass, is welcome to attend choir practices held at St Andrew?s on Fridays from 6pm until 7pm.

And choirmaster Ken Coombe is offering free organ lessons to anyone willing to learn or improve their skills, so they can act as assistant organist to the choir, enabling him to conduct at practices.
