TAMAR Valley Male Voice Choir is extending a very warm welcome to anyone (male and female) in the Tavistock area who may be interested in finding out what it is like to belong to a male voice choir. The choir normally rehearses in Kelly Bray on a Tuesday evening but for one week in March it is coming to Tavistock. TVMVC is now almost two years old. It has grown from its original eleven members to a complement of 26 but, as with most choirs, would like to be just a little bigger to develop that richness of tone one can obtain from a larger group of male singers. Belonging to a group such as TVMVC helps members meet interesting people and go to interesting places — the choir is off to the Czech Republic in the summer. So, if you feel that you may be interested, come along and meet the choir informally in rehearsal on March 25 at the Lower Hall, Tavistock Methodist Church, from 7.30pm. TVMVC are singing in the United Reformed Church in Tavistock at 7.30pm on March 15 and presenting their annual gala concert in St Eustachius' Church at 7.30pm on May 31.
