FARMERS and their families who are emotionally and physically stressed by the anxiety of foot and mouth disease are being offered de-stressing.

Heather Lamacraft, who is a McTimoney chiropractor at the Abbey Mead Complementary Health Clinic in Plymouth Road, Tavistock, as well as being a qualified masseuse, reflexologist and therapist, said: 'I would like to offer my skills to farmers and their families if they are able to leave their premises.'

Heather said she would waive her usual fee and would help for only a donation to cover her costs.

She said: 'At this time farmers may not only be traumatised but physically they may be experiencing more aches and pains than normal, due to the anxiety surrounding this dreadful disease.'

Heather is in Tavistock every Thursday, and can be contacted on 07971 249014.
