THE Fire and Rescue Service was called to a report of a chimney fire involving a wood burner at Crowndale Villas in Tavistock on Saturday.

The crew used a thermal imaging camera and chimney gear to extinguish the fire.

Crews also attended a report of a chimney fire at Plowden Park, Lifton, on Sunday, which they made safe.
