TWO appliances from Callington attended a chimney fire at Beals Mill near Stoke Climsland in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Firefighters found the fire in the chimney had spread to a wooden lintel and it was extinguished using a hose reel and chimney rods.

A thermal image camera was used to ensure that there were no hot spots or further spread.
