ON A PERFECT summer?s day the captain of Okehampton Golf Club, Gareth Holt, arrived at 7am to greet every player who was to play in his ?Captain?s Day Stableford?. Winner of division one was Jim Dunlop, on the back nine from Del Owen and Paul Rattenbury all with 42 points. Division two was won by Phil Atherton with 44 points. In second place was Ian Wilson with 43 and third, with 42 points was Gordon Parker. Division three was won by Roy Harrington with 44 points from Richard Weller also with 44 and in third was Paul Fewings with 42 points. The ladies? prize was won by Rachel Spry with a magnificent 44 points, from Lorna Rolfe with 38 points.
