Cheque buys chairs for summer

MEMBERS of the King Street Tenants' and Residents' Association in Tavistock will be making the most of the summer months thanks to a recent donation.

The association approached the tenants' panel of West Devon Homes to ask for help with their fundraising.

Chairperson of the tenants' and residents' group, Mr John Hannam, said they were 'over the moon' with the panel's decision to award them £820 for the purchase of garden furniture.

'We have purchased six beautiful garden tables, 24 chairs, six garden parasols and a barbeque, which will bring a great deal of pleasure to the residents of Pinder Court and King Street,' said John.
