A CHARITY working for the disabled is looking for volunteers to make a real difference when it holds an open day in Tavistock on Wednesday, October 25. The disability charity Leonard Cheshire?s West Devon Enabling service is celebrating the Community Service Volunteers ?Make a Difference Day 2006? by encouraging people of all ages to volunteer for one day to make a visible difference to their community. West Devon Enabling is looking for volunteers to donate their time for a one-off event or activity, or give a few hours a week. This could be through befriending disabled people, accompanying them to local activities such as swimming, computer training or organising or helping a local fundraising event.
