ON behalf of the Western Union Jive Club and Tavistock Lions we would like to thank those who came along to support our Rock 'n' Roll charity dance at Tavistock Town Hall on Saturday November 15.  

The evening was in aid of Devon Air Ambulance and the terrific sum of £948 was raised from advance ticket sales and events on the night. Our DJ was Alan's Rock 'n' Roll Disco from Torbay who very generously donated his services free of charge and what a superb job he did too . . . the dance floor was busy all night long with everyone jiving to 1950s-style rock 'n' roll.  

The 150 or so people who came along had a wonderful time and the popular opinion of those attending was that this is an event that must be repeated.

A cheque presentation will be made to Devon Air Ambulance early in the New Year.
