A CALLINGTON grandfather with prostate cancer will be taking part in this year's Tour of Britain road race with his son and grandchildren to raise awareness of the disease.

Peter Moss, 60, who was diagnosed two years ago, will be tackling a specially-designed route in London on Saturday, September 18.

He will be joining hundreds of other cyclists in the ride ahead of the final stages of the 2010 Tour of Britain.

Over the past couple of months Mr Moss has been taking his grandchildren Charlotte, aged ten and Cameron, nine, for circuits around the local reservoir on their bikes to get into practice.

'The London ride is a great opportunity to do something together as a family while raising money for a cause that is close to my heart,' he said.
