IF you fancy giving your car a spring clean and helping Children in Need at the same time, then let the Okehampton fire fighters do the business.
They will be operating a car wash at School Way by Waitrose on Saturday, March 15 between 9.30am and the early afternoon.
Station Officer Ian Donovan said: ?We have been there for four hours before and raised £500 ? this time, subject to operational calls, we are going to stay a bit longer and would like to hit a target of £1,000.?
Among previous charity endeavours they have collected £500 for the American Fire Fighters, and last year raised £500 which was divided between a disabled child and the hospital fund.
?Now we want to raise as much as we can for Children in Need,? said Station Officer Donovan.
