MEAVY Amateur Dramatics — known as MAD — are holding auditions later this month at Meavy Parish Hall for their next pantomime 'Babes in the Burrator wood.'
It is a 'medieval Meavy tale of magic, mystery and mayhem.' The format for the auditions will be an informal and fun skills group workshop, covering text, choreography, movement and possibly singing. Sam Regan de Bere and Liz Tompkins are writing the script, which follows the previous sellout success of 'Jack and the Beanstalk.'
Anyone interested in taking part, with or without acting experience, go along to Meavy Parish Hall on Thursday, June 23 from 7pm to 10pm or Saturday June 25 from 9.30am until 12.30pm.
MAD would also be pleased to hear from anyone who would like to help in other areas of theatre production, from costume making and set design to lighting and front of house.
