Tavistock XI v Chairman?s XI
TAVISTOCK Chairman John Perkin selected a team to play Tavistock at Whitchurch Down on Sunday.
The Tavistock side were put in to bat and South African Craig Alexander top-scored with 95 and Steve Nicholson made a quick 44. They were all out for 236.
Angus Murray took three wickets for the Chairman?s team and his brother Harry two.
The Chairman?s XI reached 192 all out, Stuart Down top-scoring with 48 and Mark Horwell getting 35.
Steve Nicholson bowled well, taking 4 wickets for 18 runs and Andy Gauler 2 for 27.
Afternoon tea was served by the tea ladies to the vice presidents of the club.
