THE?Salvation Army is celebrating its 150th anniversary since it was started by William Booth — it’s also 134 years since it started in Tavistock.
We celebrate these anniversaries this Sunday, November 22 at the United Reformed Church in Russell Street.
At 4pm there will be a 30-minute film about the beginnings of the Salvation?Army followed by a tea. At 6pm Major Carol Lockhart and Captain Penney Sullivan will be conducting a thanksgiving service. All are welcome to join us.
