WEST Devon CVS and Volunteer Centre is calling all West Devon volunteers to join them in celebrating Volunteers Week during June 1 to 7.

Anyone who volunteers in West Devon — with a charity or not-for-profit community group — is invited to come along to one of two events being organised by the Volunteer Centre and hosted by staff at two National Trust properties.

The volunteers have been offered free entry and the chance to enjoy looking around from 1pm to 4.30pm at Buckland Abbey in Buckland Monachorum on Wednesday, June 5, and the same from 2pm to 4pm at Finch Foundry in Sticklepath on Thursday, June 6, together with, at both places, a complimentary tea with cakes.

This is a chance to thank publicly the many people in West Devon who generously give up their free time to help others, whether it is those who care for the young, old or vulnerable both locally and in the Third World, those who are involved with sports or the arts, those who help look after our animals and wildlife or those who help conserve our environment and heritage.

There are limited spaces available and a ticket is necessary to participate.
