VOLUNTEERS and staff from a range of organisations will be showcasing their work at events in Tavistock and Okehampton in April.

The events will provide an opportunity for people to find out more about the local volunteering opportunities available and how they can get involved.

The Tavistock event will be held from 10am to 3pm in the town hall on Friday, April 25, and then in the Charter Hall, Okehampton, on Wednesday, April 30 from 10am to 3pm.

Devon county councillor Debo Sellis said: 'We are all immensely proud of the vast range of voluntary organisations working across the borough.

'We want to celebrate this work and give others an opportunity to see what these organisations do and are delighted to be supporting two volunteering events.

'We hope that lots of people will come along and join us in celebrating this work and maybe even find new opportunities for themselves to volunteer.'
