Macmillan Cancer Support will mark its centenary at a service of celebration at Exeter Cathedral on?November 20, with big screens filled with uplifting images and the Isca Ensemble's notes soaring to its decorated corbels.

The service has been organised by Caroline Grafton-Grattan, who will be stepping back as county chair after six years of devotion to the Macmillan cause at the end of this year, and Tricia Heard.

Stephen Richards, Macmillan's director for England and himself a Macmillan Nurse, will be giving a sermon, while under the direction of Roger Hendy, the Isca Ensemble will play Mozart, Bach, Elgar and Britten.

Readings will be by Macmillan representatives and the Lord Lieutenant and Lord Mayor will be present.

Parishioners of the diocese and citizens of Devon and beyond are welcome to join the congregation in this celebration of Macmillan's 100th year of work with those who are living with cancer. The event begins at 3pm.
