TO celebrate a successful year since the launch of its new Education Programme, MED Theatre is putting on a ceilidh this Saturday, January 26, at Moretonhampstead Parish Hall. The ceilidh will feature the music of the Steve Turner, Lawrence Morgan-Anstee, David Faulkner Trio, who all perform regularly with the Eelgrinders, and caller David Faulkner. In the last year the theatre has seen a flurry of new activity, including a dramatic increase in education projects, a young people's play at Castle Drogo and winning a Motion Plymouth Award for its short film, Lost Roots. The ceilidh event, which will raise funds to continue MED Theatre's work in local communities and schools in and around Dartmoor, is family-friendly and open to the public. No experience is necessary. The ceilidh will take place from 7pm to 11pm at Moretonhampstead Parish Hall. Tickets cost £7 for adults, £4 for concessions and children.
