'THE?Best of British' shone through to greet the welcome sun for the carnival parade in Tavistock last Saturday.

Waving their union flags were these youngsters from the Old School children's centre at Whitchurch — their London Bus entry won best in the carnival's artistic class.

The procession was led by Adam Tofield and his Olympic torch, followed by the rest of Tavistock Athletic Club, carrying a large Union flag, and then the visiting Swaziland athletes.
