THE history of power sources for the future will be on show at Okehampton Castle in August.
Medieval wind and water power will be brought to life at the castle on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 August by historic re-enactment group Heuristics.
Working models, comic theatre and living history displays will demonstrate how the earliest wind and water mills operated.
Visitors will also be able to learn about ancient medicines and old wives tales, as well as take part in more than 20 games and sports including skittles, quoits and an early version of hockey called bandy.
Admission to Wind and Water Power at Okehampton Castle is £3.50 for adults, £1 for children under 16 and £2.50 for concessions.
