PEOPLE looking for volunteering opportunities in the new year are being encouraged to attend open days at Castle Drogo to find out about how they can help at the historic property.

The National Trust property is currently undergoing a huge renovation project and as such there are now a series of new volunteer roles which have been created.

Drogo is currently undergoing a five year, £11-million renovation project to save the castle from major structural problems caused by serious leaks and water penetration throughout the building.

The open days are running at the castle on Friday, February 6 and Saturday, February 7 from 11am to 3pm each day.
