VISITORS will be able to step back in time this December at Castle Drogo, enjoying a traditional 1930s Christmas.
On December 10, December 11 and from December 17 to 23, visitors will be able to see the castle festively decorated, including the impressive 12 foot Christmas tree that fills the entrance hall as part of a Drewe family tradition.
On Saturday December 10, South Tawton Primary School choir and Moor Harmony will sing Christmas carols, and on Friday December 23, the Chagford Singers will be delighting visitors with carols in the drawing room.
The drawing room will be presented as if a family Christmas were taking place.
The Drewe family's own decorations will be used, having been put up every year since the 1930s.
Father Christmas will also be visiting Castle Drogo, residing in his grotto.
The gardens, café and shop will also be open from 11am to 4.30pm so visitors can explore the winter landscape, tuck into the tasty festive food and buy from a wide range of Christmas gifts.
Admission to the event is free for National Trust members.
Entrance to Santa's grotto and present is £2 per child, including members.
